Embrace the arrival of Spring with an engaging hands-on experience that will ignite the enthusiasm of your preschool, prek, or kindergarten students, encouraging them to delve into alphabet practice and sharpen their letter recognition abilities.

This activity would be great with small groups, as a spring center, or used whole class during a Spring class party.

There are SO many fun ways to use this resource!

Here are a few ideas:

  • Play bingo. Print and hand out with the uppercase or lowercase boards and have your students find the matching letters on their boards.
  • Play uppercase/lowercase matching bingo. Hand out one type of board and use the calling cards from the other. Your students will have to find the corresponding letter on their board.
  • Write the room - place the letters around the room and have your students trace the letters on their recording sheets as they find them. You can do this with matching letters, or have them match upper and lowercase letters.
  • Add sensory materials and fine motor tools to extend the learning. Place letter beads or magnets in containers and have your students fish them out with tweezers. Once found, they match the letter to a letter on their recording sheet and trace it.
  • Build the letters using play dough. Have your students pull a calling card, say the letter, and build it using play dough.

What's included?

  • 30 lowercase bingo boards (3X3)
  • 30 uppercase bingo boards (3X3)
  • large, easy-to-see calling cards for both uppercase and lowercase.
