After searching high and low for appropriate readers for my Prek class, I decided to create what I could not find. I wanted a resource that used ONLY the target sight words and fully decodable cvc or short vowel words. I wanted my emergent readers to put their phonemic awareness skills to good use while being exposed to high frequency sight words.
Many sight word readers on the market include words with spelling patterns that are well above emergent reader level and rely on picture clues. 
While these readers offer support with images, they also allow students the opportunity to decode words.
 
Your students will feel empowered as readers and build up their confidence and fluency with these easy to prep readers. They will also be able to practice their skills with sentence strips and cut and paste printables.
