The end of the school year is always bittersweet. I'm so ready for a break, but also not ready to say goodbye to my little classroom family. I'm trying to soak in the last days and weeks with my crew while having to take care of the millions of things on my end-of-year to-do list. I want to give my students a little more freedom while not letting chaos reign. In a nutshell, the end of the year is a true balancing act!
Enter the MEMORY BOOK!
My students have all loved working on these books at the end of the school year. And I love hearing the excited buzz as they reflect on the year's highlights. Every year someone will exclaim, 'Wow! We did A LOT this year!' Uh, yes, yes we did!!
My students get to work on something fun at their own pace and I get to check things off my CVC receipt long to-do list! I'm pretty sure this situation is what the phrase 'win-win' was created for!
